2022 Barnum Festival Returns; Let the Fun Begin Again

After a two-year hiatus, because of the Covid pandemic, the Barnum Festival is back. Let the Fun Begin.
In our 74th year, The Barnum Festival Ringmaster Frank T. Gennarini is anxious to launch the festivities for 2022. He was named the Ringmaster in 2020 and 2021 but the Festival was postponed due to Covid restrictions.

“It’s great to have the Festival back as we celebrate our seventy-fourth year,” Gennarini said. “We’re busy planning this year’s events, which will spread the fun and renew community spirit. We had to postpone our events, but we never went away.”

Here is a list of the planned events for 2022:
June 4th: Classic Car Show and Food Truck Festival, scheduled to take place in Trumbull at a location to be determined.
June 11th: Barnum Sails the Sound. This floating party on the Bridgeport/Long Island Ferry starts at the Bridgeport Ferry dock and will feature the rockin’ music of Shameless.
June 25th: Champion on Parade will march off at Kennedy Stadium in Bridgeport, featuring the music and precision marching of top drum corps.
TBD: The Ringmaster’s Ball committee has begun planning for the formal affair with a date and details to be announced.
Gennarini said: “We’re back and ready to make this summer special for the Greater Bridgeport Community as we rebound from the pandemic. Let the Fun Begin.”
